Warmth of summer, coldness of winter,
Sun's out but it's still raining.
Only lukewarm feelings,
I'm still standing here waiting.

When will the storm clear,
And allow me only the sunshine?
Cos' I'm just afraid,
It's simply not yet time.

But now I start to realise,
There's always a price to pay.
I have to step out of my shell,
And face the elements of the coming day.

Glancing ahead,
Thunder and lightning flash in the distance,
Taking one step at a time,
I pray everyday for assistance.

And in the heart of the storm,

A smile would brighten my face,
Because then, you were willing too.

And I don't mind spending everyday,
Out on your corner in the pouring rain.
Looking for the girl with the beautiful smile,
Asking her to stay a while.
