The Sun's shrouded,
I only see the dark sky.
My thoughts are clouded,
And I just wonder why?
That at this unfamiliar crossroads,
I am totally at a loss.
I've been standing still for ages,
At what pathetic cost?
To take the left or the right,
Neither would have a turning back.
My footprints imprinted,
Confidence is what I lack.
Somehow the grasses seem more inviting,
Than the trodden dirt road.
Dare I venture forth,
Into the dark unknown?
Should I stay or should I go?
At time like these life seems unkind.
Downslope all the way from here,
Why am I so blind?
